SMOOTH PURSUIT is a peek inside my sketchbook; random chicks, scribbles, notes, + a recurrent retail fantasy.
I love seeing artists’ raw sketches and journals, so that’s a majority of what I share now - whatever comes natural!

Tlāloc Collective is a multidisciplinary dance/media company and artistic community based in New York City. We, just like everyone else, are having a hard time trying to survive in the climate that is currently the country we reside in. For many of us this is nothing new.
Some of us are finally having uncomfortable and jarring conversations about race, lending our bodies to the streets to protest and sing the names of those murdered.
Some of us are seeking refuge in community, opening our wallets, using our platforms to uplift and spread the joy of being Black. No matter your form of direct action, we are all tired. We all need to help and reach across. This zine is our hand extended.
Remember, believe and see, that only we protect us.

Our First Edition, published on July 9th 2020, is meant to be accessible to everyone and anyone. Our goal is to share poetry while providing significant information regarding our community. The First Edition features the voting results for the NYC Fiscal Year regarding budget cuts to the NYPD, resources for the rental housing crisis in NYC, and of course, poetry.
A printable PDF is available on our website for you to fold your own, leave around your neighborhood, give to friends and family - spread the love of poetry and community resources near you. Please take a picture and tag @tlaloccollective on Instagram if you fold your own! Our Second Edition will be available September 2020.

‘My friend malcom’ chronicles the travels of boy and his best friend in a post apocalyptic world in the not so distant future, enjoying each others company and what little company they may encounter along the way.

I’m. It sure how to describe why I make it in an eloquent way. It’s a cool thing to do, drawing your feelings or thoughts into a comic strip. Like my own personal Calvin and Hobbes.

Hi I'm Vega,
I'm an Aquarius from Albany NY and this is my Zine!
This untitled zine was meant to be a fun art project for me and my best pal Will. There isn't really much meaning behind any of this but the process of working with someone you enjoy and are close with to make something this cool is a really nice and rewarding experience. I wrote all of these poems, with the exception of two of them, in a dadaist style, and i left it up to Will to interpret my nonsense into cool visuals, and he didn't disappoint! I'm always really impressed with him.
We had a small physical run printed last year but we recently ran out. But I'm sure we could do another if enough people want that ;-) DMs are always open for feedback! And Will sells physical art too so please consider supporting him!

Turning Page is a compilation of writing I had started in 2013 as an 8th grader all the way up until a few months before the Zine dropped in 2019!
My heart and soul was poured in to this book that reveals hints of my life as a lesbian women going through past trauma and mental health issues.
This publication started out as just my poetry and rambling thoughts written on a page until I stumbled upon a section of local artists Zines at a bookstore in my town and I fell in love with the style! Zine making really incorporates just about every form of art I love into one big mess, haha!
There is currently not another book in the works as life is really crazy at the moment but more than likely I will go on to make many more.
Thank you for your time,
